Vandals/Lottery

Following up on the massive success of their previous ‘Quarks’ release the French super-group Dirtyphonics get ready to drop another speaker-busting cut on Audioporn that should appeal to both drum & bass and house heads alike with yet more ground-breaking, genre-crossing production. …oh la la!

‘Vandals’ will blow you away, simple as that! Turn it up loud as the intro builds with tense pads and a seeping synth hook underpinned by a tentative break. Wait for the kick roll and the tempo gradually slows to an absolutely filthy drop into a blazing electro-house track with a crushing riff and crunching drums. After a couple of minutes you’d be forgiven for wanting it to stay this way but when finally the pace builds again we’re flung into the D&B dimension and it’s well worth the wait! Sure to smash any dance floor to pieces, this original cut has been a mainstay of many DJ’s sets of late.

Rounding off the 12” is ‘Lottery’ and as the name suggests we’re never quite sure what’s going to happen next with this one! Another subtle intro builds to an almighty drop with a totally funked up, syncopated break that once again shows Dirtyphonics throwing the D&B rule book out of the window to come with something totally fresh and cutting-edge. Get ready for the reload!
