Dirtyphonics pick up a win at the D&B Awards 2009

Congratulations to the Dirtyphonics crew who celebrated a year of seriously hard work by picking up the gong for Best Newcomer Producers at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards held at the Ministry Of Sound on August 13th. They then went on to astound the crowd with one of their slamming 5-man live DJ sets in the main room which amazingly marked their first gig in the UK. The first of many though we suspect! Also congratulations should go to the three Backdrop-powered releases that made it into the top five nominations for the Best Single category; Nero ‘Act Like You Know’ (Breakbeat Kaos), Spor ‘Aztec’ (Shogun Audio) and Noisia ‘Stigma’ (Vision). Although pipped at the post by Chase & Status, being nominated as one of the top five singles of 2009 is definitely something to shout about. Roll on the D&B Awards 2010!
