Stereo:type put some balls back into breakbeat

Stereo:Type is the new act from two of Bassline Breakbeat's finest, Ctrl Z & Screwface, and they’re on the verge of dropping a very, very special album from the Hardcore Beats camp for the start of 2009 full of familiar faces from dnb, hip hop and of course breakbeat.

Having smashed their way onto dancefloors all around the world with anthems such as 'Kung Fu Funk' and the infamous 'Stereo:Typical', Tommy Dash and Chris Screwface decided to knuckle down and explore their sound further under their new moniker. Their debut album 'What's That Noize!?' has been a year in the making and has been eagerly awaited by the fans of the heavier tinged breakbeat sound.

Using the album as a chance to widen their musical net, Stereo:Type have come with some killer collaborations including breakbeat debut's from UK Hip Hop dons Foreign Beggars, the First Lady of d’n’b Mc Tali and the world beatbox champion Beardyman! The list doesn't stop there either; other guests include: the Black Tarantula himself Mc $pyda and breakbeat legends Deekline & Wizard and the Breakfastaz. Dancefloor breakbeat bangers weave their way through electro tinged rollers, rock and drum ‘n’ bass to deliver the first album of its kind to a genre desperately in need of some balls!

With the CD format due for release on 2nd February 2009 there’ll be two 12” singles preceeding it at the end of 2008 featuring tracks from the album. The first will be ‘Bangers & Mash’ ft Foreign Beggars b/w ‘Shock!’ in November and then ‘Under My Skin’ ft Tali b/w ‘Stereo:Typical pt 2’ (a follow up to their biggest track of 2006/7). More 12’s will then follow after the full release next February, all on Hardcore Beats.
